Rx-Writer is e-Prescribing for the iPad… elegant & intuitive.

Dr. SarahL, “Best iPad Application for Physicians”… “This is the only reason that I love my iPad. It saves me at least 30-60 minutes every day I see patients.” “I am not much of a computer person. I avoid them whenever I can. My son gave me an iPad and suggested I look at Rx-Writer.”

Featured as “New & Noteworthy Medical Application” by Apple.

Rx-Writer securely faxes patients’ prescriptions directly from your iPad to pharmacies. Rx-Writer reduces your time spent writing, tracking, researching, and renewing prescriptions.
Renewing 10-12 prescriptions can take 10-30 minutes when written by hand, pausing to gather relevant prescribing information. With Rx-Writer this task can be accomplished in less than 5 seconds.

Rx-Writer is available as a FREE version allowing up to 250 patients, includes 30 complimentary fax pages, and free faxing for 60 days.

When is the last time you heard a colleague tell you how much he enjoys e-Prescribing?... or how much time he saves e-Prescribing? Rx-Writer gives you the option of an elegant electronic prescribing system that will NOT cost a fortune in disrupted workflow.

Published studies indicate it takes an average of six months for a medical practice to implement electronic medical records and electronic prescribing. Current e-prescribing solutions are typically avoided because they are expensive, inconvenient, distant from the point of care, and disrupt clinical workflow.

User feedback is valued. New features are added regularly. Rx-Writer will be “Meaningful Use" compliant.
Internet access required for faxing.

Features:
• Renew all patient’s medications with a single touch
• Fax prescriptions from iPad to pharmacies
• View medication lists chronologically, alphabetically, and by indication
• Know at a glance EVERY medication your patients are taking
• Have the entire FDA drug database at your fingertips
• Write new prescriptions in seconds

Easily time labor contractions. A handy one-button interface to start and stop the timer, it also lists the duration and spacing of the last contraction, the average and count for the last 20 minutes, and the last hour.

The 20 minute average lets you see if your contractions are increasing or decreasing relative to the last hour. The hour average and count lets you decide when to go to the hospital or birthing center.

The app remembers all data and whether you were in the middle of a contraction or not between launches, so you can jump back and forth between this and your favorite game or another app to distract you during and between contractions.

This is the "Lite" version of my Labor and Contraction Timer app. It has advertisements and is missing the intensity and notes for each contraction, the charts and graphs, and the ability to email contraction data. It is not otherwise limited (you can enter an unlimited number of contractions over an unlimited amount of time.)

Download iTunes app link Radiology 2.0: One Night in the ED - iPad Version

One of the most innovative educational resources in the field, Radiology 2.0
presents teaching files in a way not previously seen; the 2.0 denotes the next
generation in interactive radiology education. Radiology 2.0 is a series of
cases that allow the user to simulate reading CT scans at a PACS workstation.
Extensive discussions following each case include labeled images that highlight
pathologies and relevant findings. Rather than use static images to teach
specific diagnoses, Radiology 2.0 uses stacks of CT images to actually teach
the reader how to approach and interpet CT scans. This incredible series is
available to the medical community at no charge whatsoever.

This intuitive teaching file series is perfect for Radiology residents preparing
for call, medical students in Radiology, and other physicians interested in
learning how to interpret images. All of the extensive content is contained within the app for offline viewing. You can now learn Radiology on-the-go and in the palm of your hand, even with a few minutes spare time throughout the day. Once again, it is completely free and provided as a resource for medical education.

Volume 1. One Night in the ED:

This teaching file is designed to introduce you to the CT appearance of basic Emergency Room pathology. Currently, this volume contains cases of common acute thoracic, abdominal, and pelvic pathologies. Each case is presented as a complete CT scan that you can scroll through as if at a PACS workstation.
Each case is then discussed in an interactive format. Important findings are highlighted with arrows, circles, and colorful schematics. Multiple examples
of each type of pathology are presented so you can learn by repetition.
Varied appearances of similar diagnoses are included. The first case in each
section has a comprehensive description of the featured disorder. Subsequent
cases utilize shorter descriptions and focus on the pertinent findings.

This volume includes over 7,000 high-quality images and hundreds of pages of html text.

Additional:
Dr. Daniel Cornfeld is an Assistant Professor of Diagnostic Radiology at Yale
University School of Medicine.

NOTE- This edition has been optimized for the iPad. We have designed a
completely separate edition specifically for the iPhone and iTouch. Please download the appropriate version for your device for best performance.

CPR 101 from Philips Healthcare

Are you prepared to provide life-saving Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in the event of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA)? This app will guide you through the steps required to help save a life. It will also introduce you to the benefits of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). For the best chance of survival from the most common cause of SCA, a shock from a defibrillator should be delivered to a victim within the first few minutes of collapse.

Make the most of CPR.

Studies have repeatedly shown that CPR plus defibrillation within 3–5 minutes of collapse improves survival from sudden cardiac arrest. Philips HeartStart is the #1 AED sold, worldwide. Use this app to find out which Philips AED is the right one for you.

This application is to be used for educational purposes only. CPR illustrated in this application is based on 2010 AHA and ERC guidelines and recommendations. This is not to be considered CPR/AED formal training or certification. Nothing takes the place of hands-on practice.

For demonstration purposes, the rescuer is not using a barrier device while giving ventilations. Use of a barrier device is recommended when performing ventilations.
